Thoughts behind the artwork
I aimed to capture the essence of impressionist and classical flower arrangement paintings, drawing inspiration from Monet's color palette—particularly his pinks and blues. The concept of the Black Lotus card from Magic: The Gathering, which I'd recently seen while watching friends play, lingered in my mind as I worked. My goal was to create something truly magical. The painting's format and composition evolved significantly during the creative process. With no predetermined layout, I allowed music and intuition to guide me. I painted what my eye perceived: a misty forest where otherworldly flowers bloomed from a branch.
